Later in 1887, Asa G. Candler, a fellow coleague of Pemberton, was very intriged by the curing of headaches from Coca-Cola. He was amazed that this cured his headaches on more than one occasion.
Coca-Cola increased from sales of twenty-five gallons in 1886 to 8,855 gallons in 1890, Candler tried to concentrate mostly on promoting the drink. By 1895, Pemberton was happy to say that "Coca-Cola" was sold and drunk in every single state in America.
