Atomic and Nuclear weapons first started with a scientists named Leo Szilard whom discovered the neutron, and conceived the possibility of the release of atomic power. Then two German scientists, Otto Hahn and Fritz Strassman discovered and demonstrated the fission of an atom in December 1938. In 1939, the next year, Albert Einstein sends a letter to President Roosevelt, addressing him about the potential for a powerful bomb.
